Some of our team recently had the pleasure of attending the annual Steadfast Broker Group Conference—a standout event on the insurance calendar that brings together professionals from across the industry.
The conference provided valuable insights into the current state of the insurance market, showcased innovative new products and providers, and allowed for plenty of networking and collaboration with peers. It was an inspiring and informative few days that left us energised and better equipped to serve our clients.
One of the most moving highlights of the event was meeting Mat Bowtell, founder and CEO of Free 3D Hands. Mat, a former automotive engineer with Toyota, has dedicated his skills and time to designing and manufacturing 3D-printed hands and assistive devices for people with upper limb differences—all completely free of charge. Not only do they cover the cost of materials, but even postage is free.
What’s more, Free 3D Hands shares all of its designs as open-source, enabling individuals and organizations across the globe to replicate their work and expand access to life-changing assistive technology.
Each year, the Steadfast Conference supports a chosen charity, and this year it was an honour to support Free 3D Hands. Thanks to the generosity of conference attendees, a phenomenal $500,000 was raised to help them continue their mission of changing lives—one hand at a time.
If you or your company would like to support this incredible cause, donations can be made directly through the Free 3D Hands website.
